Handmade 8.5" stainless damascus chef's knife of Damasteel's random pattern. The handle is of Osage Orange sourced from Fielding, a historic Meriwether Lewis family property in Charlottesville, Virginia. This tree is only matched in size and species to the same age specimens found at the Meriwether Lewis birthplace and Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's home. The handle features a circular inlay of Walnut, also sourced from a 300 year old specimen at Fielding in Charlottesville, VA. The overall length of this knife is approximately 13". Height is 2" at pinch point. 7.8 oz. HRC 61.
