Handmade Deba knife with a traditional chisel grind. Deba knives are thick, heavy knives with a single super sharp bevel on one side. This Deba is for the right hand. Debas are traditionally used for slicing fish in Japan, but are are also commonly used for cutting meat here in the U.S.
Handmade deba profile of CPM154 stainless steel with a hardness rating of 62. The blade measures 6 5/8" (170mm) and 11 1/2" (292mm) overall. The handle is a beautiful combination of stacked African Wenge and Bocote featuring a brass ferule and single brass pins at the butt. 9.7 ounces.
