This blade is handled with White Oak featuring contrasting white paper micarta liners (made in our shop) and a ferule of deep brown micarta to create a comfortable contoured handle. The pins of 1/4" brass are complemented by Wenge tubes resulting in a truly unique handle design. Overall length 13.5". HRC 61. 7.7 oz.

Handmade 8.5" hybrid gyuto based on the same profile that won the Garden & Gun award in 2015. This interpretation is far from traditional with a thick spine, full tang 52100 High Carbon, and plenty of heavy steel to back up the edge. This piece was hand peened to keep the forged texturing along the spine. The handle is a western style of figured Walnut sourced from Zack's farm in Charlottesville, VA featuring bolsters and pins of nickel silver and a spacer of micarta.
