Kiritsuke – 7.5" Hand Forged Damascus Steel Blade, Redwood Burl and Rosewood Handle

This kiritsuke features a carbon Damascus steel forged in-house by Monolith. The steel is made of 1084 and 15N20, it has a solid 52100 core which is separated by a layer of copper. The handle is crafted from stabilized redwood burl with a ferrule made from reclaimed rosewood from the Martin Guitar factory.

Carbon Steel Care: 

• Keep it Dry: Moisture is the enemy. Never leave the blade in standing water, on a damp cloth, or in contact with leather. Never put it in the dishwasher.

• Clean Promptly: Rinse under running water after use and dry immediately with a clean cloth. While the blade is still developing a patina, wipe it down between prep tasks.

• Store Safely: Always store the knife in a dry place—avoid leather sheaths or anything that traps moisture.

• Use Regularly: With time and use, the blade will build a patina that helps protect it and adds character.

All our blades are backed by a lifetime warranty. Any defects in materials or craftsmanship will be repaired or replaced free of charge, including return shipping. Damage from use will be evaluated case-by-case.
